Stress Management

We are all under stress to varying degrees.

While acute stress reactions are appropriate in some situations- a chronic state of “flight or fight” is not and will damage your health. Stress causes your body to release stress hormones (cortisol, adrenaline, norepinephrine) which effect every system in your body. Headaches, depression, insomnia, heartburn, hypertension, elevated blood sugars, decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, weakened immune system, weight gain are just some of the manifestations of a chronic state of stress. Normalizing the stress hormones and treating their damage while identifying and reducing the stressors is our goal. This takes a multifaceted approach-diet, exercise, gut rehabilitation, medications, and insight into your stressors with resolution of these as much as possible.
