Platelet Rich Plasma
Platelet-rich plasma or autologous conditioned plasma, are whole blood centrifuged to remove the red blood cells leaving the platelet-rich plasma. The platelet rich plasma products include platelet-rich growth factors (GFs), platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), and platelet concentrates (PCs). Initially used in wound healing of the jaw, and later translated into sports medicine for athletic injuries, and now finding a myriad of uses for various indications from face rejuvenation, hair restoration, erectile dysfunction, and others.
